PATTERNED GLASS
Patterned glass is a type of decorative glass which is characterised by textures or patterns embossed onto one or both sides of a glass pane. This makes it translucent and able to diffuse light. Also known as textured glass, its features make it ideal for enhancing the aesthetic appeal and privacy of a home. Patterned glass is excellent for windows in your home but it can also be applied to other surfaces. It is most commonly used on bathroom shower doors, floor panels, interior partitions, patio furniture, shelves, kitchen backsplash, lampshades, tables, privacy walls, and doors. Patterned glass is made with a rolled glass process. All rolled patterned glass begins as a batch of materials, including silica sand, soda, and lime. These materials are melted together in a tank, and then the molten glass mixture is fed onto a machine slab. Patterned Glass is made by pressing semi-molten glass between two metal rollers to imprint a pattern. It has texture on one side and is smooth on the reverse. It is lightweight, decorative, affordable highly functional in transmitting diffused light while maintaining privacy.
